Canadian Carrier WestJet introduces new flight to Belize!

 
Being able to experience the authenticity that Belize offers just got easier for Canadians as over the weekend, WestJet airlines introduced its first direct flight from Toronto’s Pearson Airport to Belize’s Philip Goldson International Airport. With the holiday and winter season fast approaching, these bi-weekly flights are ideal to get out of that cold sweater weather and into beach wear and flip flops, sipping on cocktails on an all-inclusive vacation designed to exceed all your needs.

Belize’s Director of Tourism, Karen Bevans noted in the Flights inaugural ceremony speech that, “We expect that with such ease in accessibility, tourism arrivals from Canada will increase, thereby contributing positively to the growth in the overnight tourism sector in Belize.” The direct flight gives Canadians easier access to get to Belize for any special occasion or planned vacation without the hassle of connecting flights and layovers in the United States. As a country, Belize is a destination most sought after by a large volume of the Canadian ex-pat community. 
 
Flights depart the Pearson International in Toronto at 9:15am and arrive in Belize City’s Philip Goldson International Airport at 11:59am. Flights departing Belize enroute to Toronto are at 12:50pm and arrives at Pearson International at 7:00pm. The airline is currently offering an introductory rate of $267.66USD on a one-way ticket.
