Caves Branch is an activity based lodge and as such there is a distinct rhythm to daily life here. Coffee is available at the main lodge from 7:00 am. Breakfast is served at 8:00 am and finishes by 9:00 am as most trips go out by 9:30 am. Lunch is most often served on the trips, but for those who choose to have a day off at the lodge, lunch is available in the dining room at noon.
Most trips are back by mid-afternoon and guests have several hours of free time which can be spent either relaxing in your tree house, sunning by the pool, socializing around the hot tub or visiting our botanical gardens and our new rec center. Whatever our guests decide to do almost no one is late for salsa and chips served at 6:00 pm, the perfect time to meet for a pre-dinner drink, review the day with new friends and plan your next day’s adventures.
Dinner is served at 6:30 pm and typically after a lively and hearty meal guests are off to their rooms by 9:30 pm or earlier. A combination of waking up early along with the jungle life, fresh air and exercise means the vast majority of our guests are good and tired and ready for bed or at least ready to go back to their rooms and relax to the sounds of the night.
WATER FILTRATION SYSTEM
The most critical resource for guests while visiting any foreign country is safe drinking water, which is not always easy to find. Caves Branch Jungle Lodge has invested in a state of the art water chlorination and filtration system that meets even the most stringent US guidelines. Your health and safety is very important to us and we ensure that you get the best possible clean water during your stay at Caves Branch. All bottled water that is sent out with you on your daily and overnight adventures comes from this filtration system. Manufactured bottled water is available at the Lodge house for a nominal fee.
For those guests staying in our jungle cabanas, bunkhouse or camping, we offer four unique outdoor jungle showers, complete with unlimited warm water. Shrouded by jungle leaf for privacy yet open to the sights and sounds of the jungle above. Occasionally we even spot the guests who have their own indoor washroom and shower facilities sneaking out to enjoy this unique outdoor experience. Let’s face it…being naked in the jungle is exciting!
Laundry services are available for everyone.
