Senior Steppers start Tropical Tree Planting Program

The Senior Steppers are a senior citizens dance group in Belmopan who not only perform in and attend regular dance performances and talent nights but also mentor young chess players in developing thinking skills.

Each month Ian Anderson Caves Branch sponsors their trip to the lodge where they participate in water aerobics class in the Caves Branch pool, cheese tasting produced by Ian, and lunch prepared by the Caves Branch cooks.

To show their gratitude the Senior Steppers have initiated a tropical tree planting program at Ian Anderson Caves Branch to start replacing the ancient hardwoods that were lost during Hurricane Richard in October, 2010.

Here are the Senior Steppers, filled with energy and enthusiasm, starting Phase I of the initiative by donating and planting 3 mahogany and 3 Zericote trees in the damaged area.
