WestJet Is Increasing Flights From Toronto and Calgary to Belize

WestJet, Canada’s largest low-cost airline, has just announced that it will be adding new non-stop flights from both Toronto (code: YYZ) and Calgary (code: YYC) to Belize City (code: BZE).

Currently, WestJet flies from Toronto to Belize on Wednesday and Saturday and from Calgary on Friday during the fall-winter season. Beginning in March 2019, WestJet will be adding a new Monday flight departing from Toronto and a new Saturday flight departing from Calgary. Flight times from both cities to Belize are around five hours.
WestJet was the first Canadian airline to fly non-stop to Belize since Belize gained independence from Great Britain in 1981. WestJet began flying to Belize in October 2016 and has experienced tremendous success, which prompted archrival Air Canada to begin flying non-stop to Belize from Toronto beginning in late 2017. Currently, approximately one tourist in 12 in Belize comes from Canada as the two countries share deep ties, including the fact that both nations are members of the Commonwealth.
WestJet will resume seasonal service to Belize on October 31, making now the perfect time for Canadians to book a wonderful vacation to this gem of a nation located on the Caribbean coast of Central America just south of Mexico. Canadian dollars are widely accepted in Belize, and the fact that Belize is an English-speaking nation makes it very accessible for most Canadians.
One of the places that Canadians will receive the warmest welcome is at Caves Branch Jungle Lodge. Located in the heart of the Belizean jungle, Caves Branch Jungle Lodge is a unique Belize lodge that specializes in adventure activities. Caves Branch offers special offers exclusively for Canadians, and the lodge is happy to accept Canadian currency for payment.
Caves Branch Jungle Lodge has lovely suites, rooms, bungalows, and the country’s most innovative and luxurious tree houses as well as a freshwater swimming pool, gourmet restaurant, spa services, and a fully stocked bar. Caves Branch’s tree houses are modern, two-story structures complete with luxury furnishings, electricity, and private bathrooms with hot/cold running water.
Caves Branch specializes in exciting outdoor activities like visiting ancient Maya sites (including Tikal, which is just over the border in Guatemala), bird watching, guided nature hikes, and cave tubing (using an inner tube to explore caves with rivers running through them). For more adventurous guests, Caves Branch also offers rock climbing, rappelling, and overnight bushcrafting expeditions.
